Episkopi is a gorgeous, serene valley more or less in the centre of the island. It was one of the first areas to be settled.
For walkers, who like more than a stroll but not a strenuous hike over rough territory, Episkopi is a fantastic off-season destination.
Take a picnic with you as there are no shops or cafes and settle down under the shady pine trees in the ruined village. Your lunch will be enjoyed all the more with the phenomenal views.
