The Artists' Garden is located in Hydra Town off the west corner of the harbour between the hospital and the Anemoni cake shop.
It provides a lush and green place for locals and visitors to sit in the shade. It's wonderfully scented and includes orange and lemon trees, the fruit being collected by locals to make marmalade.
The artists commemorated include: Panagiotis Tetsis, Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghikas, Nikos Nikolaou, Pavlos Pantelakis and Pericles Byazantios.
The garden also commemorates Admiral Nikolaos Botzis who seems to guard the garden from the bust flanked by two cannons at the top end of the garden entrance.
The artist, Alexis Veroucas who is a generous benefactor of Hydra especially concerning arts and culture, sponsored the planting and ongoing maintenance of the garden.
