The Bratsera Hotel takes its name from the bratsera (mother ship) used by the sponge diving fleet. The original building, circa 1800, was the site that the fleet would return to with their cargo. Throughout the hotel you will find glimpses of the glorious history of the sponge diving industry.
Awarded a EUROPA NOSTRA diploma in 1996 for architecture.
All the public rooms have a unique story to tell.
The original sponge sorting room is now used as a conference room.
The swimming pool was originally where sponges would have been cleaned, sized and sorted.
The Bratsera Hotel is host to the annual Saronic Chamber Music Festival each August.
