“Alter Poetry” , was born through the group exhibition, of the Ex-Ils Art Group which I joined in 2015, titled “ Octana or the colors of Liberty” dedicated to Andreas Empeirikos.
My aim is to translate the poetic into images and colors. Various elements are combined with letters and symbols as part of a structured synthesis. For me, writing works as a need to narrate a story or events with the intention of associating the viewer with the work. Still the way of visual exposure of words through its fonts and size is important. The choice of mixed technique in the paints and the use of disparate materials, defends the choice of the form and boundaries that it defines, thus opening up an alternative artistic reflection and creating a form of visual impression. Art ultimately opens up and expands the horizons of poetry’s interpretation, essentially being the sole pole of substantial freedom and independence for the viewer.
