Throughout the season the Historical Archives Museum of Hydra hosts art exhibitions and book launches in both the exhibition halls as well as music concerts and performances on the roof terrace.
There are two exhibition halls at the Historical Archives Museum of Hydra. Curator Dina Adamopoulou has proposed an interesting schedule for summer 2022.
A) MUSICAL CONCERTS
JULY 2023: (Saturday, 22/7/2023) Concert of Maria Papapetropoulos (piano), Sedef Ercedin (cello), El. Maragou (voice-mezzo soprano).
AUGUST 2023: (Sunday, 6/8/2023) Concert of works by Ilias Andriopoulos with performers T. Christogiannopoulos & Theod. Baka
SEPTEMBER 2023. (Saturday, 2/9/2023) Concert Dim. Tiliakou (baritone) and Dim. Collar (piano) on the theme of 'Plans for a summer' which refers to G. Seferis and works by C. Debussy, M. Ravel, M. Theodorakis and M. Hatzidakis.
B) VISUAL REPORTS

Exhibition of paintings by Angelika Lialios Freitag, entitled "Reflections of Change".

Exhibition of paintings by Natacha Best, entitled: "Hydra, Realite Poetique".

JUNE 2023:
Exhibition of part of the surviving elements of the traditional skaria "ELENI P." and photos. It will be flanked by OPEN LAB (Open Laboratory) and applications for virtual presentation of the draft in AR and VR.

JULY 2023:
Exhibition of paintings by Argyros Ganouta - Leventis with the title: "Stone and Ships" (opening July 15, duration until July 31) :
(Thursday, July 6, 2023): Introductory Event entitled "KAZANTZAKI'S SPEECH IN DANCE AND INSTRUMENTS" with greetings, speeches and closing with Cretan dances by a group of traditional local dances.
The archival-visual Exhibition will be framed by the following events:
Dedicated archival and visual exhibition to the great Cretan writer and poet, Nikos Kazantzakis, with the title: "Crete meets Hydra: Nikos Kazantzakis, 140 years of Light" in collaboration with the International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis, the Modern Greek Studies Foundation and Nikos Kazantzakis Estate. The purpose of the Exhibition is to present aspects of the life and ecumenical work of Nikos Kazantzakis through rare photographs, video projections, his archival manuscripts (exhibited for the first time), personal items and editions of his books translated into various languages. At the same time, an attempt will be made to present the timeliness of his words through his quotes as "beams of light" of animation, love and the human search for the Divine, for happiness, dignity and freedom

(Friday, July 7, 2023): Theatrical Monologue with Dramatized narration of adaptation of work(s) by Nikos Kazantzakis, with Niki Stavrou and accompanied by a lyre player
(July 7-9, 2023): Screening of films based on works by Nikos Kazantzakis in collaboration with the Hydra Film Club
AUGUST 2023:
Painting exhibition with the participation of a Greek and a French artist in collaboration with the HYAM Fine Arts Foundation of France, under the patronage of the well-known visual artist Pauline Simon. (opening August 5, duration until August 31)
SEPTEMBER – OCTOBER 2023:
Hydra-themed rare book and special edition reading club. (Exhibition opening September 3 / duration until October 31)
SEPTEMBER – OCTOBER 2023:
Dedicated, retrospective exhibition in memory of the great Greek artist Christos Karras. (Exhibition opening September 16)

Presentation of a Book by Maria Filippidou entitled: "The Artisan of the Sea"

JUNE 2023: (Friday, 9/6) Prize for the students of Hydra Primary Schools who participated in the contest: "Hydra Draws Peace", in collaboration with the Charitable Foundation "Richard und Anne Rohlf Stiftung" (RAR), the Holy Metropolis of Hydra, Spetses and Aegina and the Historical Archive – Hydra Museum
JUNE 2023: (Saturday, 17/6) Speech by the former Professor of EKPA, historian Giorgos Mavrogordatos on the topic: "Venizelos in Lausanne"
JUNE 2023: (Friday, 30/6) Speech by Oxford University Professor Stathis Kalyva on the topic: "A Greece Without Summer, The Impact of Tourism on the Future of the Country"
SEPTEMBER (6 & 7 2023): Two-day conference on the completion of the project: "Saving traditional wooden boats through their digital mapping, development of an integrated navigation platform and AR/VR applications".
