Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghikas Ruin, Hydra Island Greece

A grand 18th century mansion built by the great-great-great-grandfather of the artist Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghikas overlooking the Kamini Valley on Hydra Island. A fire destroyed the mansion in 1961, Ghikas never returned to Hydra again. Today, the ruins have passed out of the Ghikas family into new hands.
